Victorian Ilfracombe surrounds an older working harbour where the family can watch the boats, browse the souvenir shops or visit St Nicholas Chapel on Lantern Hill, where there has been a light for over 1000 years.

Other places for the family to visit are the Victorian Town Centre for shopping and the Sea-Front which is dominated by the new Landmark Theatre (a premier venue for family entertainment). Nearby is the fascinating Ilfracombe Museum and Tunnels beach, which is reached via tunnels through the cliff. Ilfracombe is full of things to do for your family holiday and from Beachside there is an excellent walk to Ilfracombe, with spectacular views, through Hillsborough Nature Reserve.
