Nearby Victorian Ilfracombe surrounds a picturesque working harbour offering a wide range of boat excursions, including trips to Lundy Island. You can browse the souvenir shops or visit St Nicholas Chapel on Lantern Hill, where there has been a light for over 1000 years. There is also the sea front which is dominated by the new Landmark Theatre, a premier venue for family entertainment.

Also close by is the fascinating Ilfracombe Museum and Tunnels beach, which is reached via tunnels through the cliff. The South West Coastal path goes around Beachside Holiday Park providing a walk with spectacular views; to the west through Hillsborough Nature Reserve and Ilfracombe; or east across Rillage to pretty Watermouth Cove and harbour.
